Fitness has been such an important aspect in my life and despite the many changes in my environment it was what I have always been led to do.
I grew up watching my mother do various home aerobic workouts and consistently walking/jogging, no matter the weather. With my mother as my example I learned that being active was an important part of life.
As I got older, I was involved in sports and gymnastics, but always found myself drawn to aerobics. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology, but mostly worked in Public Health after I finished my time in the Peace Corps.
Throughout living abroad and having full time positions in Public Health, I continued to teach aerobics classes part-time. After having twins, my husband and I decided that staying home was the best option for my family. My schedule allows me to care for my family and continue my love of teaching aerobics, cardio kickboxing, and Zumba.
I have been teaching for 15 years and have enjoyed learning and improving my methods. Recently, I received my certification in personal training and I am looking forward to providing great results and forming relationships with my future clients.
