Yoga for Recovery
Recovery is the most important part of any fitness program. Exercise puts your body under stress and your body needs a chance to adapt to these stresses. If you ignore your body's need for recovery, it can result in injury, pain, or inability to progress. Recovery allows your muscles to repair themselves, making them bigger and stronger. In addition, recovery is essential for your tendons, and ligaments because of their poor blood supply. They take longer to heal than muscles. Therefore, if you are doing any powerful workout, like plyometrics, you will need about 48-72 hours to recover. Recovery doesn't mean doing nothing.
