About Me

My experience when it comes to training is definitely not one-dimensional. I take a holistic approach to personal training.

I started out with a B.A. in psychology and began my career in the field of human services. Soon after I decided to follow my passion of health and nutrition and open a family business selling vitamins and supplements.

During this time I began to further explore different aspects of training and nutrition. I have been strength training for 13 years and have learned by experience both what to do and what not to do. I have explored all styles of training and am thoughtful in my approach.

I have played a variety of sports throughout my life including soccer, golf, and tennis. My background in sports provides me with an understanding of sport specificity training, which helps my athletes to be the best at their sport. I currently work with a seasoned triathlete who went from regularly placing in the top ten to consistently placing 2nd in her age group.

I earned my personal training certification from the Go Primal Fitness and Training Institute in Gainesville, FL, and I am a certified IMAP Level II trainer. This certification bridges the gap of all health related modalities by integrating the key principles of strength and conditioning coaches, chiropractors, physical therapists, nutritionists, and massage therapists. This well-rounded approach gives me the ability to understand the complexities of the body and know what steps to take when dealing with injuries or limitations.

In addition to my training, I support mindfulness and clean living in order to achieve optimum health. I am determined to help my clients find balance in their lives, manage stress, and give them the tools they need to nurture the body and mind.

My Philosophy:

Exercise is a gateway to unlocking your potential. So much of what holds us back and keeps us from being who we would like to be is our mentality.

When you can push your body to do what it has never done before and see how strong you really are, your thinking will change and your perception of yourself will change. Change in one’s life can begin once you conquer these physical obstacles.

When you can see what the human body can overcome it brings your awareness to other challenges in your life. Suddenly that motivation for change increases and you will develop the confidence to take the next step, in whatever area that may be.
